Florence

What you can see in the cradle of the Renaissance

Needless to say, it would be impossible to even think of being able to speak about the many wonders that are present throughout the Florentine area in just one page!

What we aim to do here, is to suggest several ideas of itineraries to go on, depending on your passions, interests, whether you are travelling as a family, as a couple or with friends!

A cuisine-savouring holiday

We all know that holidays often are an opportunity to give yourself a break from your diet and to let yourself be spoilt by the pleasures of fine cuisine.
Even more so in Italy!

In Florence and throughout its territory, that can easily be reached by car, there are so many traditional recipes and typical dishes: how can your mouth not water when thinking of pappa col pomodoro, panzanella, a sandwich with lampredottoribollita and the famous Florentine steak?

Obviously to accompany all these dishes a glass of fine Tuscan wine is a must: Chianti, Brunello and Montepulciano will certainly be able to tickle your tastebuds!

Our staff will be happy to give you advice and to book you into the "coolest" locations where you will be able to savour authentic delicacies and feel like a true “Florentine”.

A holiday in pursuit of discovery

Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. Even the city streets are an outdoor museum, where every corner conceals history, art and culture.

On each street you will come across artisanal and artists’ workshops and it won’t be unusual to meet artists or sculptures who are creating street views and panoramas before your very eyes.

As regards museums, galleries and basilicas, you cannot miss visiting the Duomo (Cathedral), the Campanile di Giotto (Giotto’s Belltower) and the Battistero (Baptistry), Palazzo Vecchio, the Galleria dell'Accademia (The Accademia Gallery) with Michelangelo’s “David” and the Uffizi Museum.

However, we also know that time is precious, for this very reason, our staff will be happy to help you to book guided tours and trips.

A holiday in pursuit of enjoyment

In addition to art and culture, there are many things that you can do in Florence, so you can spend splendid days outdoors!

While the women will enjoy the many boutiques in the city centre on a shopping spree, the men will be able to pay a visit to Coverciano and watch the city’s football team, Fiorentina, also known as “La Viola” during its training session, or to watch a Serie A championship football match at the Artemio Franchi stadium.

A trip to the Boboli Gardens, opposite Palazzo Pitti, one of the most important examples of Italian-style gardens dating back to the 16th century is well worth a visit; to admire Florence from a privileged viewpoint, do not miss out on the opportunity to sail on the river Arno on one of the historic punts conducted by the renaioli!
Its banks are studded with clubs and bars, where you will be able to savour suggestive aperitifs at sunset!
